Before joining VOX, Clinton served as a Legislative Correspondent for U.S. Senator Deb Fischer, a leading member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee. In this role, he drafted external communications for the office and provided policy analysis on a variety of issues including transportation, telecommunications, technology, and the judiciary. Previously, he conducted member research as a staff assistant for U.S. Senator John Cornyn. Clinton got his start in politics as the political director for Congressman Will Hurd’s re-election campaign during the 2018 cycle, where he helped develop the overall messaging strategy for grassroots efforts. Additionally, he was responsible for implementing a new text message strategy and executing the campaign’s Get Out The Vote efforts.
Clinton graduated from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2018, where he studied communications and philosophy.
