Prior to joining VOX, Charlee led marketing and communications at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, guiding internal and external strategic communications, PR, media and marketing strategies. At the Commission, she deployed communications and marketing for Indiana’s postsecondary education and workforce response to COVID-19. Charlee also directed the state’s strategy around developing new language, communications and marketing tactics to promote the value of education and training beyond high school and combat the college-going decline. Charlee was recently recognized by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana as a finalist in Indy’s Best & Brightest contest for these and other efforts.
Previously, Charlee spent nine years in communications and PR at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, writing numerous award-winning business and industry feature articles for the Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine. She started her career in local journalism and photography and is a proud alumna of Franklin College. Charlee is active in her church and lives on the west side of Indianapolis with her husband and two daughters.
